We couldn’t be more pleased to find out that Mexico City has a Ciclavía — every Sunday. This means that the city shuts down a 40 km loop of major thoroughfares around the city for non-motorized traffic. That’s about a 25-mile loop to you and me.
Scott and I rented bikes (picked-up and delivered to our hotel, $52 for both) and took off this morning without really knowing where we were going or when we’d return. Thankfully this town is mostly flat. It was a beautiful way to get some exercise and to see the city.
Cheers to the New Year!
